Abstract
This article explores the literary tradition of "TAZKIRA" (biographical anthologies) in punjabi linguistics & literature, with a focus on Punjabi writers from Tehsil Mailsi, District Vehari. The term "TAZKIRA" refers to a literary compilation that provides brief biographical details of poets and writers alongwith selected samples of their work. As an important and anciet genre in Punjabi literature, Tazkiras serve to documents both renowed and lesser-known literary figures, thus preservating and promoting regional literary heritage. The article titled "TAZKIRA TEHSIL MAILSI DY PUNABI LIKHARIAAN DA" begins with a concise historical overview of Tehsil Mailsi. Then this article also presents a compilation of punjabi language writers from the area who have contributed to the literary richness of the the South Punjab. These writers are arranged in alphabetical order to ensure clarity and systematic presentation of this regional literary legacy.
