Bhagti Literature has a significant importance in Punjabi literary history. Bhakti literature was a trend setter for upcoming generations. Its impacts can find on Sufi literature of Punjabi language partially and especially on Sikh Punjabi literature. This article covers two aspects of Bhagti movement, firstly it covers the historical evolution of Bhakti movement from 12th century to 18th century and secondly it provides a brief account of almost 20 Bhagat poets and their poetry.
