Abstract

It is historically proved that every civilized nation showed resistance against cruelty, individual and national slavery, political and economic discrimination. This behavior was more dominant in colonial period. Colonial rulers were capturing more and more countries they were busy to propagate their terror and tyranny. In this situation we find a big shipment of resistance of folk against colonial imperialists. Some important resistance leader of world were as below Mahdi sodani, Umer Mukhtar, Ameer Al khatab and Imam shamil . In this global context Punjabi resistance movement appear. In Punjab Raye Ahmad Khan kharal, Murad Fatyana, Nizam Lohar and many tribal chiefs and folk rebels give a strong reaction to the British colonialists. To acknowledge their valor and sacrifices folk singers composed many songs in their native language Punjabi. This article shed light on the aspect of resistant of Punjabi folk poetry.
